Inside our space-saving duplex garages, up to six cars can be parked on top of each other, even in the tightest of spaces. Different versions are available to meet your individual requirements – with or without a pit. Mobile parking platforms let you increase the number of parking spaces within the same footprint, reduce costs and free up extra space, while benefiting from flexible and secure parking.
What is a duplex garage?
The advantage of duplex garages is that they make it possible to double or triple the number of parking spaces without increasing the footprint. Vehicles are parked on top of each other by means of parking platforms, allowing you to maximise the number of parking spaces even where space is limited. Depending on the model, our duplex garages are available with or without a pit, for independent or dependent parking, and with two or three levels. Depending on the available space, you can choose between double platforms that provide two parking spaces next to each other per level, or single platforms with one parking space per level.

What is the purpose of a duplex garage?
Our duplex garages are primarily used where limited space necessitates a more efficient use of the available parking area. With our double parker models, you can double or triple your number of parking spaces economically and effectively and benefit from a parking area with a reduced footprint. Our duplex garages give you additional floor space that you can use for other purposes. The system is operated via a manual control system and a control key. If the control key is removed during the parking process, the system stops reliably and safely.
What is the difference between a duplex garage and a double car Stackers?
Even though the terms “duplex garage”, “double car stacker”, “lift parker”, multiparking system” and “duplex parker” sound like different parking technologies, they are simply the various type designations used by different manufacturers. Double car stackers, duplex parkers and duplex garages therefore serve the same purpose – to multiply your number of parking spaces via innovative parking solutions.

When choosing a duplex garage, a distinction can be made between different types and modes of operation. When it comes to deciding which one is suitable for your project, this will depend on your specific requirements and the structural conditions at the installation site.
You will find the following types of duplex garages in the KLAUS Multiparking range:
- Independent parking: Unoccupied parking platforms can be accessed independently and conveniently. This means that the parking platforms and parked cars can be retrieved and accessed at any time and independently of each other, without waiting for parking spaces to become available. A pit is required for this type of use
- Dependent parking: Also known as stack parkers. For this parking process, the lower parking space must be empty before the parking platforms can be lowered. A pit is not required for installation of the system
- With two or three levels: Up to six vehicles can be parked on top of each other
- Double platform (DP): Provides up to two parking spaces side by side per level
- Single platform (SP): Provides one parking space per level
What is the MultiBase model?
MultiBase is the latest generation of duplex garage systems from KLAUS Multiparking. With MultiBase, you get a cost-effective solution that provides the maximum possible number of parking spaces to solve existing capacity problems. This involves vertically doubling or tripling the number of parking spaces within the same footprint.
MultiBase models are suitable for:

Frequently asked questions about our duplex garages
Inside a duplex garage, vehicles are stacked vertically on stable and safe parking platforms with or without a pit. Our systems are professionally tested and are based on a “dead man’s” control system. This ensures that the user can always see the system, which is brought to a stop as soon as they release the control key. High-risk areas are secured in accordance with DIN EN ISO 13857. In addition, our systems comply with DIN EN 14010 and the EC Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. Before commissioning, a final technical approval is carried out by DEKRA/TÜV as the authorised body.
Depending on the system type, single platforms can be used to provide up to two or four additional parking spaces per duplex garage. With double platforms, this number rises to three or six extra parking spaces.
MultiBase 2072i, MultiBase 2072i Outdoor and MultiBase 2078i: Maximum vehicle height 150 to 215 cm, maximum vehicle length 500 to 520 cm.
MultiBase 2042: Maximum vehicle height 150 to 154 cm, maximum vehicle length 500 to 520 cm.
MultiBase G63 and MultiBase G63 Outdoor: Maximum vehicle height 150 to 170 cm, maximum vehicle length 500 to 520 cm.
MultiBase U10 and MultiBase U20: Maximum vehicle height 165 and/or 200 cm, maximum vehicle length 500 to 520 cm.
SingleVario 2061 and SingleVario 2061 Outdoor: Maximum vehicle height 150 to 200 cm, maximum vehicle length 500 to 520 cm.
Duplex garages are not suitable for vehicles with the following characteristics: heavier than 3.0 t, longer than 540 cm and/or taller than 215 cm.
